We are looking for a motivated Health and Safety (HS) Lead Auditor to drive safety compliance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across our Infrastructure Services.brThe ideal candidate will have strong auditing expertise, including excellent written and verbal communications skills, the ability to influence stakeholders, solid knowledge foundation in safety management systems and regional safety standards, and a proven track record of designing and improving safety programs. The candidate must have the ability to define clear requirements in ambiguity, proactively educate team members, leaders, and other support teams, and communicate effectively and consistently throughout all levels of the business. The role will evolve with the maturity and growth of the HS Audit Program, requires a high degree of flexibility, and the candidate must have the ability to build partnerships with diverse teams across multiple jurisdictions.brKey job responsibilitiesbr- Partner with business support functions to plan for and execute HS Auditsbr- Manage end-to-end audit projects and borrowed resourcesbr- Lead and/or participate in audits. Lead a team of internal auditors to execute audits including on-site verification and self-assessments which provides objective, independent assurance on the effectiveness of the Safety Management Program (SMP)br- Facilitate and liaise with multiple stakeholders, including Operations leaders, to mutually accept audit findings and appropriate corrective actionbr- Draft clear and concise audit reports within agreed timeframes. Guide management on appropriate corrective actionbr- Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure appropriate corrective action has been taken to resolve identified deficienciesbr- Perform analyses of audit outcomes to identify trending issues. Report on key metrics and make recommendations for process and system improvementsbr- Highlight, and provide corrective action solutions for hazards identified outside of a defined audit scopebr- Partner with the SMP team, Data Center Health and Safety (DCHS) and HS Legal to create a continuous loop of feedback that will continuously improve the SMPbr- Share best practices to assist in the continuous improvement of individual and organizational HS performancebr- Support the design and delivery of internal auditor trainingbr- Earn trust of operations partners through proactive and continuous engagement to understand the business, identify emerging risks and educatebr- Other HS program management duties as neededbr- Ability to travel nationally and internationally (estimated at 50%)brAbout the teambrAbout AWSbrDiverse ExperiencesbrAWS values diverse experiences.
