We are looking for a dedicated intern in our Special Equipment and Tailor Made Product Development team. The role focuses on analysis of style requirements, extraction of the required upholstery materials and analysis of the historical database of developed configurations. You will also validate materials, develop and prototype seats with the specified style.
Responsibilities
Starting from the material selected by the Style department, consult the materials database and the historical records of laboratory activities, extracting the relevant engineering information.
If the material is new, define a technical specification to be attached to the request that Purchasing submits for supplier sourcing.
Organize and manage the sampling request with the selected supplier.
Coordinate with the Materials Laboratory for internal activities and with the supplier for material qualification.
Analyze results together with laboratory personnel to draft the final outcome.
Transfer the technical information about the material to the seat supplier and to the internal departments and discuss its applicability.
Update the internal materials database.
Required Profile
For this fundamental role, we are ideally looking for a current master student (eligible for internship) or someone in their final year in Materials Engineering or similar fields.
