And if that’s you we would love to have you join us! /p h3Job Description /h3 pAt ASEM, we are looking for an EMBEDDED SW TEST ENGINEER to join our EMBEDDED SW TESTING Team in ARTEGNA. The purpose of the position is to develop and execute validation tests focused on hardware, firmware, and software for industrial computers and embedded PCs and, where necessary, to provide support to the firmware team in the development of both high‑level and low‑level software. /p h3Something About ASEM /h3 pFounded in 1979, ASEM has actively participated in the evolution of digital information technologies and today we operate in the markets of Industrial Automation, Test, Measurement with a complete range of industrial PCs and monitors and a complete range of HMI, control, remote assistance, and Industrial IoT gateways, characterized by our own hardware, firmware, software, mechanical and system design capability. /p pSince 2020 we have been part of the American multinational group Rockwell Automation, a leading player operating in the industrial automation sector with headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (USA). /p h3Your Responsibilities /h3 pMain activities required: /p ul liDevelopment and maintenance of automated test cases for firmware, software, BIOS and operating system validation /li liExecution of both manual and automated test cases with report generation and issue tracking /liliProduction support regarding software deployment, execution and troubleshooting /li liDevelopment and maintenance of firmware for microcontroller systems /li liDevelopment and maintenance of low-level software for Linux platforms /li liDevelopment and maintenance of high-level software for Windows platforms /li /ul h3The Essentials - You Will Have /h3 ul liBachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering, electronics engineering, computer science or informatics or equivalent; /li liAt least 5 years of experience in the role; we are evaluating also junior candidates to be trained in the role; /li liCommunication skills; /li liEnglish language; /li liAbility to work effectively in a team environment; /li liKnowledge of computer assembly and troubleshooting; /li liKnowledge of installation and configuration of Windows and Linux operating systems; /li liExperience in developing and maintaining code using the Python programming language; /li liExperience in developing and maintaining Batch, PowerShell, and Bash scripting code; /li liExperience with software version control systems, preferably Git /li /ul h3The Preferred - You Might Also Have /h3 ul liExperience in developing and maintaining C/C++ code /li liExperience in developing and maintaining C# code /li liExperience in microcontroller development /li liLow-level development of Linux operating system /li liBasic knowledge of electronics, including the ability to interpret electrical schematics and to use instrumentation such as multimeters and oscilloscopes. /li /ul h3What We Offer /h3 pOur benefits package includes: /p ul liVolunteer Paid Time off available after 6 months of employment for eligible employees /li liCompany volunteer and donation matching program - Your volunteer hours or personal cash donations to an eligible charity can be matched with a charitable donation. /li liOn-demand digital course library for professional development. /li liComprehensive mindfulness programs with a premium membership to Calm /li liEmployee Assistance Program /li liPersonalized wellbeing programs through our OnTrack program /li liand other local benefits! /li /ul pAt Rockwell Automation we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you're excited about this role but your experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway.
