We are recruiting Football Video Systems Technician roles within our expanding operations in the Serie A and Serie B. There may be opportunities to work across tournaments such as the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of sports technology as part of a dedicated and dynamic team.
Location, Contract & Salary
Location: The majority of work will take place on-site at stadiums in Pescara, with opportunities to travel across Italy and Europe.
Contract: Freelance, Casual
Salary: Starting from €130 daily rate, based on experience
Start Date: Immediate
Working Day Expectations
* Match Day → Arrival up to 7 hours pre-Kick Off
* Match Day → End of day up to 2 hours post game completion
* There are also varied needs during setup days which may require presence on the day/s before match day
* The role requires flexibility with work hours depending on the needs of the onsite team
* Most work is likely to occur on weekends with some midweek fixtures

Key Responsibilities
The main purpose of this role is to supervise and manage all the technical equipment present in the stadium for three of our Football systems: Video Assistant Referee (VAR), Goal-Line Technology (GLT) and Electronic Performance Tracking System (EPTS).

* Check that all the servers and equipment present on the van or in the Control Room are functioning and resolve problems if necessary
* Connect the Control Room with the Remote Centre and test the connection with the Technical Guarantee in Lissone
* Check correct installation of the audio and Referee Review Area (RRA) system on the sidelines and test with Lissone
* Take the video signals from the control medium of all the cameras that frame the field and provide outputs for GLT, SAO, VAR, VORcam
* Fill in the checklist relating to your role, reporting any uncompleted checks with reason
* Monitor the GLT and VAR systems during the match, communicate issues to the Remote Centre and resolve with their support
* Fill in your sections in the match report and all documents in the checklist
* Assist the GLT Operator with dismantling activities

* A technical background, ideally in IT or Broadcast
* An interest in sport and/or sports analysis, with good knowledge of football and the rules of the game
* Experience with VT/replay technology or live event/technical production
* Prepared to travel locally and, if required, further afield in Italy
* Driving licence
