You will have experience on topside fabrication projects in fabrication yards, ideally in West Africa.- Who is our client?- They are a long-established EPIC Engineering contractor working in the offshore energy industry.- What is the role?- This is a full-time, contract role based in Angola, after an initial period at the client’s head office in Norwich. You will be responsible for the- Successful delivery of project related E&I discipline for the Platforms business unit in a cost and time efficient manner. Ensuring the discipline team is effectively managed with necessary controls in place to maximise productivity and minimise errors.- What will my day-to-day duties look like?- - Engage proactively with Project Manager to deliver support and- ensure projects are adequately managed and supported with suitable resource.- - Manage & provide updates on progress.- - Provide direction where required for project delivery.- - Chair/participate in progress and reviews.- - Main point of contact for E&I discipline site queries.- - Interface management with Project Engineering, Design Team, QA/QC, Construction Contractors, Installation Contractors, Equipment vendors, Commissioning team, Base Business teams and Operations.- - Plan, manage and oversee the scopes being performed by the client appointed contractor.- - Ensure all Documents and Drawings created by your team are authored and checked to best practice and any applicable industry, project or company standards.- - Ensure that all construction tasks are undertaken in accordance with AEL policies and procedures and in line with ISO 9001/14001 guidelines/requirements.- - Champion best practice, through continuous improvement.- - Implement technical processes, systems, and software to ensure effective project delivery.- - Assist the System Completion Engineer in all related, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities in the field with focus Electrical, Instrumentation and Telecom activities but also interfacing with other disciplines accordingly.- - Coordinate and support construction activities to achieve Mechanical Completion in Mechanical and Piping disciplines.- - Coordinate and support pre-commissioning activities to achieve Ready for Commissioning Certification.- - Coordinate and support commissioning activities that are related with the discipline.- - Coordinate completions scope of work and punch list database.- I’m interested, how can I find out more?
