This position is responsible for bringing the brand promise to life through excellence in all facets of asset management. It serves as a guest advocate and key advisor to the General Manager, leading operations of maintenance engineering, facilities maintenance, grounds, housekeeping partnership, fleet, warehouse, and/or laundry departments. Success is primarily measured by onsite and post-stay guest survey responses evaluating the quality and safety of the facilities and assets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:
* Develop PDPs, evaluate, and actively coach maintenance technicians and grounds personnel. Foster a culture of learning and mentorship for continuous performance development.
* Analyze and recommend adjustments to staffing, performance targets, and resources to achieve results. Manage engagement plans, talent reviews, and succession planning.
* Demonstrate Brandhearted leadership by prioritizing the brand in all decisions. Use guest feedback to build relationships and improve satisfaction. Fulfill special needs/requests and follow up on problem resolution cases.
* Promote and reinforce a brand culture where team members understand their roles and are inspired to deliver the guest experience and brand standards. Model brand behaviors and balance budget goals with team, individual, and brand success.
* Teach and inspect preventative care and maintenance programs, including electrical, plumbing, electro-mechanical, and appliance repairs. Manage contracts with outsourced vendors for specialized skills.
* Implement maintenance strategies, standards, reserves planning, and budget stewardship to enhance owner value and guest satisfaction.
* Develop departmental budgets and allocate resources to meet financial goals. Operate within budgetary guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school diploma required
* College degree or trade training in engineering preferred
* Minimum 3 years of hands-on hospitality maintenance engineering experience and management
* At least 1 year leading front-line staff
* Facilities Certifications (CEOE, IFMA, or FMA) are desirable
* Experience and knowledge of maintenance engineering management and building systems
* Basic project management skills
* Ability to anticipate, prevent, and solve complex problems while delivering high-quality results
* Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
* Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and at least 4 years of driving experience
* May require current state certification or licensing
