Overview
The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for meeting the daily service repair needs of the customer's equipment and driving customer satisfaction through Service Excellence.
Responsibilities
* Total system-level troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and service repair needs on designated equipment.
* Interface with doctors and technicians on equipment status issues. Acts to ensure satisfaction to customers. Maintain communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.
* Keep up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner.
* Maintain tools and test equipment properly and ensure they are calibrated.
* Can identify Sales opportunities and communicate to account team in his/her geographic area
* Work as a member of the local team to provide efficient and cost-effective service to the assigned area
* Responsibly completes all administration tasks on time.
* Ensures timely completion of assigned FMIs and PMs
* Assist less experienced Junior Field Services Engineers on advanced and complex troubleshooting and technical fixes
* Cooperate with the internal stakeholders and interlocutors
* Maintain effective quality systems and programs compliant with ISO 9001 standard, according to the GE Service Quality Policy Statement
Quality and Compliance
* Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
* Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
* Identify and report immediately customer quality or compliance concerns to the Quality Organization.
Required Qualifications
* Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, IT Engineering or similar field, or High specialization technical Diploma and a relevant experience on the field and with the customers
* Extensive experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment
* Comprehensive knowledge of a specific modality or multi-modalities, extensive knowledge and experience of CT & MR machineries in particular
* Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly
* Expert in interacting with the Customer, drive positive relationships, ensure satisfaction
* Based in Palermo or able to relocate
* Fluent in Italian and English
* EU Work Permit

* Ability to show self-initiative & motivation and to work independently with minimum direction
* Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based service process
* Change agent and process oriented
* IT & connectivity skills
