About The Role
As a Senior Welding Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality of welding processes, adhering strictly to all relevant codes, design requirements, technical specifications, standards, and contractual obligations.
You will report directly to the Senior Component Delivery Manager and work onsite in Monfalcone. Working hours are from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM and from 1:15 PM to 4:45 PM, with a 45‑minute lunch break. Flexibility exists, allowing you to start at 9:00 AM and finish at 5:45 PM.
Key Responsibilities
* Adopt an ethical approach to work and follow the Nuclear Safety Culture philosophy.
* Organize and coordinate welding qualification and test activities for procedures, mock‑up tests, and fabrication.
* Apply relevant codes and welding processes, managing multiple activities simultaneously.
* Develop prototypes to validate welding solution design.
* Use process engineering fundamentals in welding procedures.
* Implement robotic solutions in welding activities.
* Author welding procedures and procedure qualification records, and conduct welders’ and welding operators’ performance qualifications.
* Issue and supervise technical documentation (WB, WPS, PQR, etc.) according to applicable codes and customer standards.
* Select filler materials dedicated to each job based on codes, standards, and contractual requirements.
* Apply detailed knowledge of welding materials, design, and manufacturing solutions across various welding processes and filler material classification.
Qualifications
* Bachelor of Engineering (Materials or Mechanical Engineering preferred).
* Certification as a Welding Technologist or Welding Engineer (IWT/IWE). Mandatory.
* 5 to 10 years of experience in Engineering, Welding, and Inspection.
* Solid understanding of ASME, EN, and RCC-M codes, plus ASTM and EN standards governing mechanical and welding tests.
* Advanced proficiency in English (C1 level).
