Technical Support SpecialistLocation: West Palm Beach, FL, 33407Position’s Major Description:

The Technical Support Specialist ensures proper computer operations for end users can accomplish organizational tasks effectively and efficiently. This position is responsible for receiving, prioritizing, documenting and actively resolving end user help requests. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostics and help request tracking tools, as well as require hands-on help at the desktop level.

Position Responsibilities:
* Proactively monitor and provide direct end user hardware and software support to all end users in a timely manner.
* Prioritize your workload to ensure the most critical issues are resolved first.
* Install, upgrade, and configure hardware and software.
* Assist in testing new hardware and software prior to implementation.
* Configure, monitor, and maintain mobile security or virus protection software.
* Maintain hardware and software inventory.
* Installing, configuring, maintaining, and solving errors for content management systems.
* Manage web environment, internal and external websites, by completing maintenance activities which include security, testing, quality assurance and content management.
* Act as backup for maintaining VOIP phone system, cellphones, and printer/copy machines.
* Provide reference for use of technological equipment by writing and maintaining user documentation for a help desk.
* Keep equipment operational by calling for repairs; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; and evaluating new equipment.
* Protect Organization's value by keeping information confidential.
* Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory mandates, including HIPAA and all hardware and software licensing agreements.
* Participate in the disaster preparedness plan in the security and protection of equipment and data.
Position Requirements:

Education & Experience: High School/GED degree required, Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred. Minimum of Two (2) years’ experience in a technology related position, helpdesk/user support experience preferred. Experience providing support services using many Microsoft products (Microsoft Azure, Office 365, SharePoint applications are a plus) and operating systems, as well as strong computer troubleshooting, and maintenance ability required. Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills required.

Skills/Qualifications:
* Proficiencies and proven abilities in microcomputer operations, networking, requirements gathering and support of application software.
* Effective communication skills including heavy telephone contact with staff.
* Ability to manage time well, effectively organize and coordinate work, establish good working and professional relationships.
