Job OverviewThe Software Engineering Organization is actively searching for talent to fill open positions for individuals building simulation solutions to enable a fully virtual, integrated and scalable validation ecosystem that accelerates the delivery of safe, smart, and software‐defined vehicles. The role focuses on the design, development, and evolution of standardized and robust virtualized ECUs and plant models, scalable simulation platforms and automation pipelines for smart building, integration and deployment of XIL (MIL/SIL/HIL) environments supporting the end‐to‐end development, integration, and virtual validation of automotive software. Develop and maintain the simulation framework for XIL platforms by enabling testing capability, ensuring scalability and modularity to support validation workflows across different domainsDevelop and maintain automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines for building simulation artifacts and frameworks, optimizing end‐to‐end workflows and enabling automated cloud deploymentSupport configuration, troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization of XIL virtual platforms, ensuring consistency across teams and development programsDevelop virtual test platforms, covering environment and traffic models, physical‐based and data‐driven plant models, soft ECUs, and virtual ECUs for multiple domains (ADAS/AD, Powertrain, Body, Digital Cockpit, Connected services, ...)Meeting fidelity, performance, and integration requirements of simulation components and platforms through automated testing, as well as through correlation against real‐world data and/or higher‐fidelity models when neededIntegrate models, virtual ECUs, software components and hardware interfaces within the XIL simulation frameworks, as well as enable seamless integration with simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink, CarMaker, dSPACE, NI, Vector, etc.)Manage databases and repositories for simulation artifacts, ensuring traceability, versioning, and automated distribution
Technical Leadership & Strategy
Support the strategy, roadmap, and methodological guidelines for virtualized ECUs, plant modeling and simulation frameworkBenchmark industry tools, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvementDevelop technical documentation, standards, and training materials for global teams
Cross‐Functional Collaboration
Support engineering teams in the setup, execution and debugging of simulation and validation activitiesCollaborate with suppliers, tool vendors and global engineering teams to ensure consistency, interoperability, and performance of simulation platformsEnsure alignment between simulation strategies and overall vehicle development processes
RequirementsSkills and Basic Qualifications
Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field3+ years of experience in virtual test platforms (MIL, SIL, HIL) and software/system development and/or integration across automotive domains (ADAS/AD, Propulsion, Chassis, ...)A proven track record in agile software testing, test‐driven development and continuous integration (e.g. Jenkins, TeamCity, GitHub Actions, ...)Experience with modern build systems and automation tools (e.g. Bazel, CMake, ...)Experience with operating system virtualization (e.g. Docker and Kubernetes)Knowledge of open modeling and simulation standards such as FMI (Functional Mock‐up Interface), SSP (System Structure and Parameterization), and ASAM standardsGood programming skills in object‐oriented languages (e.g. Python, C#, C++, ...)Experience with model‐based development (MBD) methodology and tools such as Matlab/SimulinkKnowledge of ECUs virtualization, co‐simulation and system integration toolchains (i.e. dSPACE, ETAS, vVirtualTarget, ...)Good understanding of embedded software development (C, C++), AUTOSAR software architecture, auto code generation process and toolsExperience with Linux OS, Git/GitHub or other versioning toolsKnowledge of automotive communication buses, protocols (CAN‐FD, SOME/IP, ...) and related analysis toolsExcellent communication, collaboration, analytical and problem‐solving skills
