For our client, a prestigious multinational company operating in the chemical sector, we are searching for a
**HSE Manager.**
The resource, reporting to the Plant Manager and coordinating a team of four pepole, is responsible for developing the health, safety and environmental culture in the production plant.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Lead the EHS function on the Plant.
- Guarantee site conformity to laws as regards to Safety and Security, industrial hygiene, Health, Environmental protection, Fire Prevention, Emission in the atmosphere, Water exhaust and Wastes.
- Ensure the completion of the reports request by the law and the related analysis.
- Support the Management in the diffusion of laws, corporate rules and culture referred to health, safety and environmental protection.
- Evaluate risks in the workplace for different jobs (Chemical risk, Manual Handling, Ergonomics, Noises, Display screen terminals, etc..) and propose the most appropriate protection devices for them.
- Identify and suggest solutions to improve safety systems and incident prevention in order to minimize the risk of injury and incidents.
- Plan and support the organization of training activities for law and Corporate correspondence referred to EHS items.
- Inform/train employees on the present risks in the plants.
- Support the Responsible of transport of dangerous goods (ADR, IMDG Code, IATA).
- Maintain relations with external bodies responsible for monitoring the site's activity about health and safety at work and environmental protection (Fire-brigade, Province, Town Council, ASL, Company Doctor).
- Implement SW standards and programs: Ergonomics, SW Management systems, etc.
- Support the activity referred to audit (Law, Corporate, Insurance).
- Act as the Process Safety Engineer for all site with the following main duties: process hazard review participation; maintenance of process safety information; ensuring management of charge process in followed.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environment or Engineering.
- Previous experience in the role in a multinational company (preferably from chemical sector).
- To be conversant with Safety, Health, Fire and Environmental Regulations preferably on a site dealing with flammable liquids and DSEAR regulations.
- In possession of the RSPP Certification.
- Knowledge of laws and international norms related to Safety, Health, Environment, Security, Quality Assurance.
- Fluent in English both written and spoken.
