We are looking for a Ship Supervisor that will work in the "Operations" of "Customer Logistic Support", dedicated to the life cycle management of the naval vessels of the Egyptian Navy. The Supervisor, based in Alexandria, will be responsible for the maintenance activities inside the naval base for the vessels assigned, ensuring the uniformity of conducts and the resolution of ordinary and extraordinary works. Activities and Responsibilities The Ship Supervisor has the following responsibilities: Operationally manage maintenance and assistance activities on board naval units, ensuring the correct and timely resolution of ordinary and extraordinary interventions (preventive and corrective maintenance); Constitute the first interface with the Customer regarding the management of preventive and corrective maintenance activities carried out on board; Interface and coordinate with the on-board staff, at the appropriate levels, to plan, monitor and verify maintenance interventions; Carry out the analysis of the problems encountered on board, identify possible corrective actions, support the on-board staff in formulating requests for intervention and the Back Office Employees in their resolution; Prepare the operational program of interventions to be carried out during ship stops, schedule and coordinate the interventions of the companies in charge; Act as Technical Manager of Works on board with tasks of supervising Fincantieri personnel and coordinating contracting/subcontracting companies also for safety purposes; Coordinate, monitor and verify the suppliers\' activities, from the preparation phase to the closure of the interventions, supporting them for access on board and in the related activities; Check the availability of the materials necessary to carry out the interventions; Ensure the interface with the Lead Project Engineer (LPE) regarding the updating of the planning of supplies and maintenance interventions in accordance with operational needs; Support the Back Office Employees for the certification of completion of the ordered activities/supplies (SAL / warehouse withdrawals / DDT and Maintenance Reports countersigned by the Board / Score Cards etc.); Support the correct closure of interventions on the available logistic systems, reporting to the Customer and internal administrative activity, ensuring the availability of documentation proving the completion of preventive and corrective maintenance activities on board, collecting signatures of approved by competent Customer personnel; Provide the Site Material Manager with feedback on the work of the suppliers on board and on the correctness of the set of logistical information available, as well as on each return from the field to be transmitted to the back-office/support engineering structures; Provide the Site Manager with field reports relating to the management of the operations. Requirements Availability to work in Alexandra (Egypt) for a minimum period of 2/3 years; Technical Diploma in Naval or Nautical Field; Deep knowledge of marine systems; Be able to manage suppliers of service activities and components; Communicational skills to manage relations with the Client and suppliers; Knowledge of safety procedures and laws for on field activities; Fluent knowledge of English (both speaking and writing).
