Operations Manager Steward
The position of Operations Manager Steward is a critical role within the hospitality organization. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of stewarding operations, providing strategic leadership and guidance to ensure seamless execution.
This includes managing productivity, controlling inventory, scheduling, supervising, coordinating, hiring, training, and developing a high-performing team. The successful candidate will create an engaged workforce while increasing productivity and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Operations Manager Steward will work closely with the Executive Chef and General Manager to ensure effective inventory management, assist in requisitioning materials and equipment, and maintain accurate records.
This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in a stewarding department, preferably in a hospitality property.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of stewarding operations, including productivity and inventory control.
* Schedule, supervise, coordinate, hire, train, and develop a high-performing team.
* Work closely with the Executive Chef and General Manager to ensure effective inventory management.
* Maintain accurate records, including attendance tracking and employee-related files.
* Ensure back-of-house facilities and systems run efficiently in accordance with protocol.
Requirements:
* High school diploma preferred.
* At least five years of experience in a stewarding department, preferably in a hospitality property.
* 21+ years of age.
* Strong problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
