In this role, you will support AWS’s infrastructure expansion by leading energy projects with electric utilities and energy companies in the AMER East region. This role will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to grow AWS’s diverse, reliable and low-cost energy supply. The candidate must be able to manage the execution of multiple large scale power infrastructure projects across different geographies in AMER East. The candidate will manage utility interactions, work with internal and external engineering, real estate and planning teams to deliver the electric infrastructure to serve AWS data centers, including but not limited to managing the utility, EPC vendor and/or Owners Engineer to meet AWS’ needs. The candidate will work as part of an integrated team to implement energy program requirements and deliver tangible reliability and cost saving results.brThe ideal candidate will possess a strong energy background and a proven track record of developing and delivering on innovative energy projects. The candidate will have experience working with regulated electric utilities to develop, contract and deliver medium and high voltage power infrastructure, and related tariffs and agreements. The right candidate will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about the business, operations, and technical challenges, with the skill-set to drive tactical execution of project schedules, contracts, initiatives and team goals.
