PAs an Associate in the front office Specialized Lending / Project Structured Finance Transaction Management team, you will support and work closely with Sector Relationship Managers and Deal Principals (“DPs”) on Project Structured Finance transactions, reporting to the Specialized Lending Transaction Management Lead. The work will be fast-paced and multifaceted and you will also be exposed to, and expected to work with, several of the other sectors in which ING specializes. You will also work with senior Specialized Lending Transaction Management colleagues and Portfolio Management colleagues. /ppThe Transaction Management team will be involved with every new non-recourse, long-term Project Structured Finance lending transaction in the sectors of Energy, Real Estate and Telecom, Media, TechnologyHealthcare and will take primary responsibility for many of the key processes. /ppThe role involves regular contact with clients, prospects, other banks, technical and legal advisors as well as frequent cooperation with internal departments such as Credit Risk Management, Legal, and Deal Execution / Deal Administration. /ppbResponsibilities include a.o. : /b /ppPreparing and efficiently processing of credit approval packages, including reviewing due diligence; /ppAnalysis of different transaction structures and providing recommendations; /ppPreparing business comparables and analysis of debt structures, performance metrics and debt pricing; /ppSupport to Sector Relationship Managers in preparing internal commercial approval memos,; /ppDeveloping / reviewing project finance debt models, running financial models with sensitivity analysis and validation of key assumptions; /ppRunning internal models including risk ratings and loan pricing, and interfacing with risk management to establish the appropriate internal risk rating; /ppInterfacing with loan operations, treasury and the lending center of excellence units to verify limit availability, and compliance with internal policies; /ppPreparation of marketing materials and lending analytics for clients; /ppAssisting with term sheet negotiations and with reviewing legal documentation and validating key terms conditions; /ppAttending meetings and calls with customers including transaction-related due diligence; /ppResponsibility for deal closing including final CPs and obtaining the final loan documents, and support to drawdowns and closing mechanics in cooperation with back office colleagues; /ppEnsuring a consistent level of quality and policy compliance through training and development activities; /ppStaying current on organizational operating policies and procedures (i.e. Risk, Legal, etc.); /ppWorking with and mentor Analysts and Interns by supporting them in their personal and professional development as lending professionals. /ppQualifications and Competencies /ppbQualifications / Education : /b /ppMaster’s degree in finance / economics / accounting / management / engineering (or similar); CFA a plus /ppbExperience / Knowledge : /b /pp2-5 years of relevant Project Structured Finance experience (Telecom-Media-Technology related field experience will be considered a plus) /ppbCollaborative and inclusive team player /b /ppEmbracing diversity and cross-cultural awareness and able to work effectively across functions; /ppStrong interest in your core sector and openness to other sectors; /ppExposure in Project Structured finance loan origination and execution; /ppStrong analytical skills and financial modelling skills; /ppAuthentic and confident presentation and communication skills; /ppSelf-motivated and able to thrive in a deal-oriented and deadline-driven environment; /ppStrong work ethic, positive attitude, and professional demeanor. /ppuWorking conditions : /u Full Time /ppuDuration : /u Permanent /ppbAbout ING /b /ppING offers many opportunities to build a diverse and rewarding career.
