The Role and CandidateAs our Health & Safety Coordinator - South Europe (Italy & Spain) you'll support the safe and compliant operation of our retail stores, offices and warehousing activities. You'll play a key role in building a strong safety culture across all locations, ensuring our teams operate in line with local legislation and internal standards.
Reporting to the Regional Health & Safety team, this role works closely with Store Managers, HR and Facilities teams. You'll be the go-to person for all things health & safety, offering hands-on support and strategic insight in equal measure
We're looking for someone who is proactive, detail-orientated and confident in influencing others. You'll bring practical experience in H&S management and a passion for building safe, people focused environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with local health & safety laws and POP MART internal policiesConduct and maintain risk assessments across stores, offices and warehouse sitesCarry out regular health & safety inspections and ensure follow-up on corrective actionsSupport incident reporting, investigation and thorough documentationCoordinate statutory safety training (e.g. fire safety, manual handling, first aid)Lead safety inductions and briefings for new joiners and temporary staffOrganise periodic fire drills and emergency response checksMaintain safety documentation and assist with internal and external auditsProvide day to day guidance to managers and team members on health & safety topics
Requirements1 to 2+ years of experience in a health & safety role, ideally within a retail or multi-site environmentSolid knowledge of Italian health & safety regulations and best practices, Spanish will be considered as a plusStrong communication and training delivery skillsProven experience managing investigations and ensuring policy complianceHigh attention to detail, problem solving mindset and ability to work independentlyWillingness to travel between locations in Spain and ItalyFluent in English and Italian, Spanish will be considered as a plus
