For our Milano Station we are currently looking for the OFR Route Development Manager.
Key tasks:
* Implement OFR trade and route development management strategy and activities and respond to trade and route development management enquiries in an efficient and competitive manner.
* Ensure providing allocation and reservations of freight on planned linehaul required for hub and operations performance.
* Ensure the timely monitoring and accurate updating of product portfolio.
* Deliver day-to-day shipment documentation for freight forwarding, assist in development of shipping tenders and ensure on-time submission on relevant documents.
* Contribute to processes and design systems to enhance service quality and alignment with company’s direction and long-term goals.
* Ensure, that customer and shipping companies’ requirements and service, cost and budgetary guidelines are met.
* Develop and maintain databases with specific information to enable quick responses to specific network queries.
* Build and secure business relationships with customers and shipping companies.
* Ensure the preparation of carrier performance reports and reviews.
* Scan alternatives to enhance services and processes to secure cost-effective and competitive products and negotiate competitive rates with shipping companies while meeting desired service specifications and transit time targets.
* Oversee recent developments of new solutions, services, lane and traffic development.
* Analyze and provide input for processes and design systems to enhance service quality.
* Resolve and analyze issues in day-to-day delivery and implement practices for OFR trade and route development management focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency.
* Provide support on issues and problems from less experienced/new team members, provide direction and guidance as needed.
Requirements:
* Deep knowledge of OFR forwarding business.
* Significant experience in OFR Operations.
* Strong project management skills and ability to cope with multiple bids in parallel.
* Strong analytical skills and good communication skills.
* Commercial experience/capabilities.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Strong problem-solving mentality.
* Results driven and attention to details.
