Offer Description
One of the most exciting possibilities in the near future of particle physics is the potential discovery of feebly interacting particles (FIPs), such as sterile neutrinos, axions, millicharged particles, and dark photons. These particles are often theoretically well-motivated, and a dark sector including one or more of them can both have the aesthetic draw of solving several problems simultaneously and be a valid alternative to the weakly interacting massive particle paradigm, which has dominated DM searches in the last decades.
Evaluation of competencies in:
* theoretical astroparticle physics;
* analytical and numerical calculations related to the production of both light particles (sub-eV) in stellar environments.

Selection process
The assignment will be awarded based on the evaluation of expressions of interest received by the Research Supervisor Dr Edoardo Vitagliano according to their competencies in:
* theoretical astroparticle physics;
* analytical and numerical calculations related to the production of both light particles (sub-eV) in stellar environments.
