About the role
The credit department at Revolut is dynamic and innovative. They design, develop, and launch credit features globally, managing products from inception to deployment. This includes developing both back-end and front-end systems, data science infrastructure, and establishing scalable risk and portfolio management solutions tailored for each country. Our team’s excellence is a testament to our collective effort.
As a Credit Manager, you will be responsible for designing credit risk policies, procedures, and strategies for Revolut’s SME lending products. This is a new addition to our portfolio. As the book grows, you will oversee underwriting validation and lead proactive measures to market and product changes.
What you'll be doing
* Determining credit strategies for SME lending in the EU
* Developing valuation frameworks at the account level using NPV to optimize portfolio returns
* Enhancing credit strategies for new originations, existing customers, and arrears management to maximize risk-adjusted returns
* Improving credit decisioning capabilities while maintaining a balanced manual approach
* Designing and analyzing champion-challenger tests across the credit lifecycle
* Managing credit limits, risk-based pricing, retention, and over-limit policies
* Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning with data insights
* Monitoring and reporting on credit KPIs and ongoing initiatives
* Ensuring compliance and approval from second and third-line risk functions and regulators
* Onboarding new data suppliers
What you'll need
* Proven experience managing risk cycles for SME credit products like unsecured business loans or credit lines
* Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or analytical field from a top university
* Understanding of credit policy governance frameworks and risk management standards
* Ability to deliver results that exceed expectations
* Forward-thinking approach to planning and problem-solving
* Knowledge of credit and behavioral scoring models for SME lending
* Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts simply
* Understanding of the importance of speed to market and balancing problem-solving with business needs
Nice to have
* Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, or similar data analysis tools
* Willingness to learn new technologies to scale the business
