Intertek, a leading provider of ATIC (Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification) Services, for its Industry Services Division is looking for a
Lead Inspection Engineer
for a long term project based at supplier in Milan area.
The selected profile will ensure the execution of the head office maintenance engineering activities according to contractual requirements and project objectives in terms of safety, quality, budget and schedule.
Supervise the execution of design activities relevant to QA and QC Certification, HSE system control, Maintainability and Inspection Criteria and Spare Parts Reliability for cost effective and safe operation in the relevant field of interest.
Responsibilities
Confirms the assigned budget and technical scope.
Verifies that the maintenance requirements are accounted for into engineering documents.
Takes part in project planning and scheduling. Prepares and keeps the maintenance engineering execution plan up‑to‑date (including mobilization of personnel). Supervises the preparation of the maintenance procedures.
Identifies the project requirements and constraints and participates in ROKM sessions related to maintenance activities.
Takes part in the project review meetings to ensure that the maintenance engineering requirements have been duly complied with.
Ensures the preparation and checking of the Purchase Requisitions (RdA) and Technical Evaluation within its sphere of responsibility.
Reviews the 3D model for compliance with the maintenance requirements and for accessibility and inspectability.
Ensures the respect of the budget.
Ensures the verification of the KPI during the home office activity.
Reports activities, progress, concerns and issues to the Project.
Performs inspectability & maintainability analysis and asset data gathering.
Builds asset register and its related spares.
Performs risk and reliability analysis to support maintenance plans development, procedures and related work instructions ready for CMMS uploading.
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 10 years of experience as Senior Inspection Engineer for EPC companies.
Experience in main Pre‑Commissioning, Commissioning, Start‑up, Maintenance and Troubleshooting activities on analyzers, automation systems, mechanical rotating equipment.
Knowledge of the main risks during operation activities and safe working and environmental protection procedures/practices & rules to be applied.
Knowledge of adequate Personal Protective Equipment.
Knowledge and correct use of Permit to Work system.
Nice to have: API certificates for piping and pressure vessel.
