About the Role
You will be joining our Mechanical Design team within the Engineering Department, working at the heart of innovation in our headquarters in Bologna. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the design and development of mechanical groups for high-performance packaging machines, supporting the evolution of our product portfolio and responding to new market demands.
You will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment, with exposure to cross-functional teams and a strong focus on technical excellence, quality, and innovation.
Activities include but are not limited to:
* Designing mechanical groups for automatic cigarette packaging machines, in line with technical standards and KPIs (cost, time, quality)
* Leading the design and implementation of new solutions to ensure quality, durability, and reliability of G.D machines
* Providing technical support within the Engineering department and to other companies in the Group, contributing to knowledge sharing and innovation
* Managing improvement requests, identifying issues, proposing solutions, and producing technical documentation for prototypes (studies, drawings, workflows, etc.) and production standards
What You Need to Be Successful
* You hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering
* You have at least 5 years of experience as a mechanical designer in the Industrial Automation sector
* You are confident in using 2D/3D design and simulation software; experience with Pro-E and PDM systems is a strong plus
* You are fluent in English
* You are a team player with a proactive attitude and a passion for technical problem-solving
