Location: Milan area (with travel to Bologna, Florence, and Turin)Type: PermanentCompany van, fuel card, and overnight accommodation provided when required.Our customer is looking for a Field Engineer to join its growing operations team in Italy, supporting broadband and Wi‐Fi installations across student accommodation sites.This is a field‐based role suited to someone with a practical cabling or telecommunications background who enjoys hands‐on work and is comfortable working on active construction sites.The successful candidate will be based in the Milan area due to the volume of work there, while also travelling to sites across Northern and Central Italy as required.Key Responsibilities Conduct site surveys and pre-installation inspectionsInstall and test CAT5/CAT6, Ethernet, and fibre cablingSupport Wi‐Fi and broadband network deploymentsCarry out fault finding, maintenance, and repairsWork closely with Project Managers, Engineers, contractors, and customersEnsure installations meet quality and safety standardsWhat We're Looking For Experience in structured cabling, telecoms, broadband, or field installationsComfortable working on construction and student accommodation sitesBasic networking knowledge with a willingness to learnStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skillsItalian and English language skills (French would be beneficial)Full driving licenceFlexible approach to travel and workloadThis role would suit candidates from telecoms installation or broadband provider backgrounds such as Sky, Virgin Media, BT, TIM, Vodafone, Fastweb, Open Fiber, or similar field‐based environments.If you are looking for a varied field engineering role with a growing technology business, we would like to hear from you.Please apply with your CV in English where possible.
