Overview: As an integral part of the European Finance Team, the Accounts Payable Controller for Italy plays a key part in the Purchase to Pay process by providing a highly efficient service dealing with all aspects of Accounts Payable by ensuring all invoices and expenses are processed and paid on a timely basis whilst ensuring accurate recording of data and resolution of queries within defined deadlines. This role is vital for good cash management within EMEA and will also provide support to the local Southern Europe Finance team on related accounting requirements. Part-Time position - 20 hours per week approximately Responsibilities: This job contributes to organisational success by: - Ensuring efficient and effective high-volume multi-currency invoice processing and related accounting, including that: - Invoices are correctly addressed and authorised - Purchase orders are properly matched to invoices and accurately posted - Invoices and payments are processed in accordance with all Italian rules and regulations, under guidance from the Finance Manager - Supplier statements are reconciled to the purchase ledger account on a monthly basis, and ledgers well maintained - Providing information and data for month end accrual process and maintaining relevant balance sheet reconciliations - Maintaining cashbook files daily to ensure accurate cash reconciliations and reporting. - Monitor and review that vendors are set up within the Company ERP system and within country specific requirements for Italy - Resolving payment or invoice queries both from internal depts and external suppliers as they arise - Support local statutory audit requirements. - Support internal stakeholders with additional cost reporting as needed. Qualifications: Requirements: Essential: - Previous Italian Accounts Payable experience - Experience using ERP and online banking payment systems. - Good all-round MS Office skills, especially Outlook, Excel and Word. - Be able to work under pressure and to tight calendar deadlines. - Be adaptable and flexible, and a good team player, also able to use own initiative. - Possess good written and verbal communication skills (in Italian). - Strong attention to detail.
