The primary role of the Residential Life Educator (RLE) is to supervise the physical and emotional development of students under their care.
The RLE reports to the House Coordinator (HC) for all aspects of the Boarding House's functioning. As part of a team of Educators, they are responsible for student welfare and daily house management.
While the primary responsibility is in the boarding house, the RLE may also support campus-wide activities. The houses currently accommodate around 150 students of various ages and genders.
* The working hours mainly cover weekends and evenings as required.
* Some overnight duties and school holiday activities, including camps, are included.
* This is a part-time role, up to 24 or 30 hours weekly, with breaks.
* Accommodation is provided during term time and holidays, with free meals on duty and access to facilities.
The role involves long hours typical of a boarding community but offers significant job satisfaction. Flexibility, teamwork, and a genuine interest in working with adolescents are essential.
Applicants should be hardworking, adaptable, and willing to contribute. Experience in education, especially in international settings, is preferred but not mandatory. This position offers opportunities for professional development and gaining varied experience.

Responsibilities include:
* Being a visible presence in the boarding house, engaging with students, and knowing them personally.
* Monitoring stress, sleep, homesickness, and other concerns.
* Enforcing rules and ensuring student safety.
* Facilitating student meetings and supporting evening activities.
* Sharing meals with students.
* Participating in team meetings and providing updates on student behavior.
* Following up on student health issues with relevant staff and parents.
* Supervising duties with fellow educators.
* Managing student presence checks, weekend leaves, and other administrative tasks.
* Reporting needs and issues to relevant departments and encouraging cleanliness.
* Organizing weekend activities and reporting tickets.
Specific requirements:
* A mature, sensible manner with punctuality, appropriate dress, and enforcement skills.
* Ability to perform campus walkarounds in all weather conditions.
* Effective time management and organizational skills.
