Job Opportunity: The Fisheries and Aquaculture Division is seeking a skilled professional to develop, implement, and evaluate assigned programmes/projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in value chain development and a strong understanding of human well-being, food security, and poverty reduction.
The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating policy development, researching and analysing information, and generating survey initiatives. They will also prepare written outputs, provide substantive backstopping to meetings and conferences, and initiate outreach activities.
The position requires advanced university degree in agricultural/fishery economics, food science/technology, business administration or other relevant fields. Seven years of relevant experience in value chain development programmes or related area is also required. Working knowledge of English and intermediate knowledge of another FAO official language is necessary.
