About the role:
As a Corporate Credit Risk Manager you will be responsible for:
* Assessing the credit and financial strength of BBVA’s clients by performing fundamental credit analysis of counterparties, using both quantitative and qualitative factors.
* Preparation, submission for approval and presentation at relevant Credit Committees of Financial Programs through relevant discretion processes.
* Approving utilization of sanctioned limits within discretion.
* Ensuring the establishment and effectiveness of credit policies and risk limits as well as compliance with risk appetite.
* Supporting and providing guidance to other units within BBVA.
What are we looking for?
Previous experience and technical knowledge:
* BA/BSc Finance or Business Management or any other related subject.
* Demonstrable experience in credit analysis, corporate advisory, credit policies review and regulatory reporting in Banking Groups active in Retail, Private, Corporate segments and Investment Banking of at least 4 years.
* Development of local credit reporting system;
* Strong analytical skills, including understanding of key financial components (liquidity position, leverage profile, etc.) and the ability to form independent opinions on credit, recognizing emerging risks.
* Solid Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) skills.
* Understanding of banking products and sustainability issues.
Languages:
* Spanish and English: fluent.
* Italian native speaker.

* Strong inter-personal and verbal communication skills. Should be at ease in communicating with internal and external stakeholders within risk management and other divisions.
* Strong organization and time management skills. Able to work under time pressure.
* Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
