This position will support student-athletes and coaches in the overall development and operations of the program.All duties must be completed in compliance with University, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDay to Day OperationsWork closely with DOBO to assist with everyday tasks such as but not limited to study hall, ordering office supplies, groceries, transportation for student-athletes, arranging road trips, and meal planning for team.Responsible for taking notes at staff meetings and preparing the written practice plan for each day.Cultivate and plan creative and fun team bonding activities that support and enhance team culture.Work closely with Athletics Student-Athlete Development team to plan and schedule productive community service activities.Responsible for gathering information on post-graduate academic options for current student-athletes and prospective grad transfers.Game day responsibilities include instructing the team through pre-game warm-ups and tracking our offensive possessions for execution efficiencies to help coaches.Marketing, Promotions, Media RelationsWork closely with Athletics Marketing team to assist in the marketing and brand management of Villanova Basketball, including but not limited to game day atmosphere and in-game fan experience and marketing.Work closely with Athletics social media/marketing team to establish a creative and more consistent presence and brand. Manage head coach and team social media accounts.Attend and actively participate in all regularly scheduled marketing meetings to make sure the planned women’s basketball branding and marketing is meeting program expectations. Responsible for sharing content of these meetings with women’s basketball staff.Work closely with Athletics Communications to maximize our web site presence and keep it current.Responsible for maintaining fresh branded stationery for the women’s basketball program.RecruitingAssist recruiting coordinator with official and unofficial visits, including but not limited to setting itineraries, scheduling photo shoots, planning team activities, etc.Think creatively and bring fresh ideas to the table to continue improving upon our presentation of Villanova Basketball to recruits/families that can provide an edge in the recruiting race.Coordinate and organize photo sessions for PSAs and families on official visits to campus to include contracting photographer, arranging for necessary equipment, and staging the scene for the shoot.Facilities ManagementKeep all spaces associated with women’s basketball updated with current stats, murals, trophies, fresh content on tv monitors, etc. to keep the women’s basketball branding fresh and current.Serve as a liaison with Athletics facilities in monitoring daily upkeep of Davis Center relative to custodial services.Assist in planning for facility projects and enhancements.Misc.Other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsFormal Education:Bachelor’s Degree required/Master’s degree preferredSpecific Job Knowledge:Competent understanding of college basketball. Knowledge of NCAA rules compliance.Minimum Work Experience:2+ years’ experience playing or working (coaching or manager role) in a collegiate basketball program, preferably at the Division I level.Work Skills:Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.Equipment Knowledge:Proficiency with personal computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, database, etc.)Working Conditions/Environment:Professional work environmentEvening and weekend hours requiredPreferred QualificationsMaster’s DegreePhysical Requirements and/or Unusual Work HoursSome lifting, carrying equipment, walking.Significant travel.Significant night and weekend hours.Special Message to ApplicantsPosting Date: 04/24/2025Closing Date (11:59pm ET): Salary Posting Information: Commensurate with experience.
