For our Milan station we are currently looking for the OFR Route Development Manager.
Responsibilities
* Implement OFR trade and route development management strategy and respond to enquiries efficiently and competitively.
* Allocate and reserve freight on planned linehaul required for hub and operations performance.
* Monitor and update product portfolio in a timely manner.
* Deliver day‑to‑day shipment documentation and assist in development of shipping tenders, ensuring on‑time submission of relevant documents.
* Contribute to processes and systems to enhance service quality and align with company’s direction and long‑term goals.
* Ensure customer and shipping company requirements, service, cost, and budgetary guidelines are met.
* Develop and maintain databases with specific information to enable quick responses to network queries.
* Build and secure business relationships with customers and shipping companies.
* Prepare carrier performance reports and reviews.
* Scan alternatives to enhance services and processes, secure cost‑effective and competitive products, and negotiate rates while meeting service specifications and transit time targets.
* Oversee recent developments of new solutions, services, lanes, and traffic development.
* Analyze processes and design systems to enhance service quality.
* Resolve and analyze day‑to‑day delivery issues, implementing practices focused on increasing effectiveness and efficiency.
* Provide support, direction, and guidance to new and less experienced team members.
Qualifications
* Deep knowledge of OFR forwarding business.
* Significant experience in OFR operations.
* Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple bids in parallel.
* Strong analytical and communication skills.
* Commercial experience and capabilities.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Strong problem‑solving mentality.
* Results‑driven with attention to detail.
