Position Summary
Reporting to the Factory Manager, this role involves leading and managing the operations and performance improvement activities of the Operations department to meet scheduled production requirements while adhering to quality, cost, and safety standards. You will contribute to developing the factory operations master plan.
A Day in the Life of the Factory Operational Manager
* Maintain, promote, and develop high health and safety standards, ensuring all duties comply with Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
* Develop and utilize systems to achieve quality standards and improve hygienic conditions
* Manage maintenance routines to ensure timely and quality execution within budget
* Drive continuous improvement through TPM and manage the achievement of key operational performance targets
* Control annual fixed and variable budgets, continually challenging costs
* Foster an open and productive culture where staff take pride, responsibility, and feel involved and valued
* Encourage staff participation in improvement activities and programs
* Lead, develop, and coach the team to maximize achievement of factory objectives through regular coaching, reviews, and development
What will make you successful?
* At least 4-5 years of Production/Engineering management experience with demonstrated strong leadership skills applied to large teams
* Knowledge of modern maintenance and management techniques
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Financial planning skills are a plus
* Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
