The Associate Director, IN Originals will support the development of Original content for our Audible IN current and new customers.
They will conceptualize Original Audible-owned IP, and develop partner-created IP to expand the reach and resonance of Original titles that meet our business goals.
They bring editorial vision and creative flair to the development of category-defining Original titles that surprise and engage audiences at scale.The Associate Director, Originals reports to the Head of Audible Content, Global Growth, and works in partnership with Audible teams in India and across the globe.About YouWe’re looking for an experienced development executive who has the right combination of distinctive editorial judgement mixed with commercial-entertainment acumen.
You push creative boundaries and assist in taking bold but informed creative risks based on Amazon's global standards and have first-hand, demonstrable experience in creating category-defining Original content for modern media consumers.

Whilst we prefer a candidate with audio-entertainment experience, we understand that the next great audio-entertainment talent may come from film, tv or digital backgrounds as well.As an Associate Director, IN Originals, you will…Recommend and assist in implement an extensive development pipeline and forward-looking production slate of scripted programming, fiction and non-fiction, which aligns with business goals and overall content strategyConceptualize IP from the ground-up, using category, business and audience markers to guide you.
Assist in new Audible-created and owned IP that live in the ‘zeitgeist’, presenting proposals to key internal stakeholders for approvalSupport the development of Partner-created IP, ensuring concepts developed for commissioning deliver on local and global content strategy goalsProvide creative direction and ongoing feedback through the lifecycle of a defined project, guiding the development and production of commissioned Audible OriginalsProvide script editing, notes and other development support for both in-house and third-party pitches, pilots and long-form original projectsPrepare projects for commissioning and internal greenlight processesSupport to liaising with key external stakeholders and contribute to the expansion of Audible’s network of creative development and production partners in IndiaWork with global content leaders to maximize return on investment of Audible-owned IP through localizations, adaptations and derivative worksEvaluate content through performance tracking, industry knowledge, insights and research, with the goal of identifying the best content for our customersAbout AudibleAudible is the leading producer and provider of audio storytelling.

Must be experienced in development and production processesExperience originating and developing entertainment concepts from ideation to launchBusiness fluency in English and in at least one Indian language (Hindi preferred)Experience understanding of the audience, publishing, entertainment and digital media landscape trends in India and a distinct passion for learning about new trends as they ariseExperience with digital listening applications, and innovative new audio platformsExperience in understanding journalism ethicsExperience in managing and scaling fast-paced/high-growth content production environmentsPreferred QualificationsCreative Development/Originals lead for leading audio/OTT serviceAbility to operate in high-energy, high intensity and rapidly evolving environmentHave a passion for world-class storytelling and exhibit a desire to learn about other cultures, their entertainment and media practices and their creator opportunitiesExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills that enable you to make excellent business decisions in a creative environmentIndependent, entrepreneurial, passionate self-starter with a focus on delivery of excellenceDemonstrate a deep network in creative and talent communities, with particular roots in the Indian creator/talent community.
