Join us in redefining the boundaries of what’s possible! Your role We are seeking a Senior R&D Smarteyewear Product Design Engineer to join our R&D Department. Main Responsibilities Develop and serve as a reference for the development of complex mechanical solutions as part of a multidisciplinary team. Ideate, design, build, test, and refine prototypes and characterization test systems. Push the boundaries of state-of-the-art technologies to solve complex mechanical problems. Work across the full product development cycle, from idea and concept definition to product finalization. Collaborate closely with industrial designers, UX teams, and quality assurance. Travel to support engineering builds and vendor visits. Main Requirements Educational background in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design. Experience with Parametric 3D CAD software, preferably Creo. Knowledge of PDM systems, preferably Windchill. Understanding of injection molding design and processes. At least 3 years of industry experience in mechanical or mold design. Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), statistical tolerance analysis, functional dimensioning, and geometric tolerancing. Proficiency with design and simulation tools, prototyping, manufacturing technologies, and materials. Knowledge of material properties for plastics, metals, adhesives, glass, etc. Ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams. Capable of operating autonomously in a dynamic environment. Strong organizational skills, scientific approach, and problem-solving skills. Experience in consumer electronics product development is a plus. Proficiency with Office 365.
