THE ROLE You will be working in a multi-disciplinary group, where people with different backgrounds collaborate, each with their own expertise, to support IIT research activity. The _Communication and External Relations _Directorate manages the _internal and external communication activities_ and is coordinated by Giuliano Greco. Within the team, your main responsibilities will be: 1. Planning and managing internal events for IIT staff - Design and deliver events aimed at enhancing staff engagement and strengthening the sense of belonging across the Institute. - Monitor participation and gather feedback to continuously improve initiatives. 2. Supporting the organization of internal events for all IIT functions - Collaborate with various directorates to plan and manage specific internal events - Coordinate suppliers and manage logistics, including venues, catering, equipment, and related services. 3. Planning and supporting events for external audiences - Support and oversee the organization of events targeting the general public, media, institutions, and other key stakeholders (e.g., press conferences, institutional events, festivals). - Ensure alignment and correct use of IIT’s communication strategy and brand identity - Manage all operational aspects of external events. 4. Supporting the Communication Directorate - Work closely with the internal, external, institutional, and digital communication areas to provide support in planning and logistics for communication-related events. - Contribute to the definition of event formats, key messages, and communication tools to ensure consistency and impact. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS - A bachelor’s degree in _communication, humanities, science _or a similar discipline - Documented experience in _planning and organizing events, managing internal, external and digital communication activities_ - Good knowledge of the English language (additional languages are considered a plus) - Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite - Strong focus on stakeholder needs and expectations - Established network in the event sector on Genoa and Milan ADDITIONAL SKILLS - Experience in graphic and video editing (e.g. Canva, Leonardo, CapCut, etc) - Knowledge of digital tools for internal communication (e.g. Viva Engage) - Ability to work in a challenging and international environment - Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment - Possess analytical reasoning skills and a growth mindset - Creativity and planning skills COMPENSATION PACKAGE - A yearly gross salary ranging between 26k and 28k, which may include a bonus option depending on your role and contract - Private health care coverage depending on your role and contract - Two days of teleworking per week and flexible working hours are available for certain roles - Meal vouchers depending on your work contract - Application’s deadline: July 26th, 2025_
