Lead Statutory Controller is primarily responsible for overseeing financial controlling activities, annual filing preparation of accounting trial balances and meeting other consolidation requirements for our branches. In addition, the candidate will support statutory accounts preparation, including technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis for the Italian Legal Entities. /ph3Job Description /h3h3Essential Responsibilities /h3ullipEnsure all branch filings are completed timely and efficiently and support the preparation of tax documentation required for the permanent establishment (PE) /p /lilipTrack financial transactions and ensure accurate financial reporting for the branch /p /lilipSupport financial activity related Stat-to-GAP/IFRS reconciliation /p /lilipAssist with Internal Audit and SOX Activities /p /lilipCoordinate and cooperate with external and internal auditors /p /lilipCollaborate with centralized service teams, including leading regular meetings and checkpoints, and oversee accounting activities /p /lilipDrive and promote compliance with local laws and GE policies /p /lilipWork closely with commercial and operations teams to understand accounting implications of transactions and other matters /p /lilipProvide technical accounting/financial reporting advice and support, consulting with Aviation Controllership team and external auditor when appropriate /p /lilipDocument key accounting policies/procedures /p /lilipEnsure business assets G/L accounting activities have functional integrity proper controls /p /li /ulh3Qualifications/Requirements /h3ullipBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field and strong progressive accounting or finance experience /p /lilipDeep knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP /p /lilipExperience of accounting closing processes and procedures (e.g. Intercompany transactions, Balance sheet deep dives, account reconciliation) /p /lilipStrong communication and analytical skills /p /lilipAdvanced computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) /p /lilipWork Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required /p /lilipFluency in Italian and English /p /li /ulh3Desired Characteristics /h3ullipKnowledge of Local GAAP /p /lilipStrong understanding of global process and transactional flows /p /lilipAdaptable and flexible: open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations /p /lilipExperience working in a matrixed environment /p /lilipKnowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAP/HFM) /p /li /ulh3What we offer /h3pbSmart working and work life-balance /b /ppAvio Aero, when possible, promotes remote work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
