About the HW System Architect Position
The HW System Architect (HWSA) is part of the System Architecture Team and reports directly to the HW Technologies leader. In the Platform Team, the role follows semiconductor technology trends for vehicle platforms such as Cockpit, Body computer, Zone Control Unit or Cluster ECU. In the Offer Team, the HWSA contributes to early product definition during the Offer Phase to evaluate the HW perimeter and cost. In the System Team, the HWSA defines HW system requirements and architecture under the coordination of the SAL. The position is based at our office in Torino.
Responsibilities
1. Map vehicle functions into ECU and define the high‑level hardware‑network topology of the main interconnection buses (Ethernet, CAN, LIN, A2B) in new platform developments for ICE or EV vehicles.
2. Define the power distribution (12V‑48V) architecture of vehicle ECUs in ICE and EV platforms.
3. Define the main hardware components of a Cockpit, Body Computer, Zone Control Unit or Cluster ECU and provide the HW architecture document.
4. Monitor technology trends on HW functionalities and compare proposals from different vendors.
5. Specify and select basic HW function components to achieve target performance and best cost/performance compromise.
6. Participate in competitor analysis and
