Overview\nPepsiCo is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician & Syrup Room Assistant (Intern) to support both the Quality Department and Syrup Room operations. This internship offers hands‑on experience in laboratory analysis, food safety systems, and beverage production processes, providing a strong foundation for a career in Quality, R&D;, or Production Operations.\nResponsibilities\n1. Laboratory Operations Support the execution of physical and chemical laboratory analyses.\nMonitor laboratory programs, tools, and quality procedures.\nAssist the Quality Control (QC) team in implementing PepsiCo sanitation protocols and Food Safety requirements.\nContribute to the development of Statistical Process Control (SPC) using control charts.\nSupport the operation and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment.\nEnsure proper documentation of analysis results in written reports and digital databases. 2. Quality & Food Safety Support\nProvide technical support for the implementation of production standards, including: Quality procedures, programs, and best‑practice tools.\nHACCP procedures and daily self‑monitoring control plans.\nMaintenance of food safety documentation and compliance systems. 3. Syrup Room Assistance\nSupport the Syrup Room Operator in daily operational activities, including: Preparing, handling, and mixing ingredients according to PepsiCo–Schweppes and PLI recipe standards.\nEnsuring correct concentrate preparation procedures and adherence to quality guidelines.\nManaging equipment, planning tasks, and supporting production readiness.\nEnsuring compliance with quality and food safety standards during all syrup preparation processes. Qualifications Technical Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific field (e.g., Chemistry, Food Science, Biology, or similar).\nBasic knowledge of physical and microbiological sampling techniques.\nAbility to use basic laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.\nStrong operational mindset and attention to detail.\nTeamwork orientation and good interpersonal/communication skills.\nReliable, precise, and proactive approach to task execution.\nBasic level of English (written and spoken).
