Automation and Software Integration Engineer
We are seeking an Automation and Software Integration Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering & OPEX department. You will work closely with highly automated production systems, supporting both the optimization of existing control software and the integration of new machines, lines, and automation solutions developed with specialized suppliers. Practical involvement with machine control software and PLC logic, making targeted code changes to integrate new hardware (robots, dosing units, material handling systems, etc.) into existing lines, while also ensuring smooth, reliable and efficient operation of the entire production process. The selected candidate will operate cross-functionally within three production departments dedicated to the manufacturing of dialysis machines and disposables.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Support manufacturing innovation projects, from the requirements definition to installation and field validation.
* Adapt PLC programs and control logic to integrate new hardware into production lines and implement improvements that increase efficiency and quality of processes.
* Prepare user requirements and work with suppliers on the design, integration, and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
* Collaborate with the maintenance team to troubleshoot software issues and perform diagnostics that guide technicians in resolving problems.
* Act as a bridge between Production and IT, helping to implement digital platforms and applications in manufacturing.
* Manage validation activities, from protocol drafting to execution in the field, with strong focus on software logics.
* Keep your knowledge up to date by following training programs on the latest industrial automation technologies.
Education
* Degree in Engineering (Automation, Electronics, Computer, or related fields) or equivalent experience.
Skills
* Knowledge of Siemens S7 PLC programming.
* Possess a strong foundation in electronics
* Familiarity with vision systems (Omron, Cognex, Keyence).
* Ability to work in a team, communicate effectively and solve complex technical problems.
* Good knowledge of English, spoken and written.
Experience
* Open to candidates with 1-2 years of experience within a relevant industrial production environment as well as motivated junior profiles with a relevant educational background.
