We are now looking for a dynamic and strategic Procurement Manager to join our team.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, this key leadership role will shape our procurement strategy and contribute to building a high‑performing, reliable, and cost‑efficient supply chain.
As our Procurement Manager, you will oversee the suppliers selection, negotiation, and performance management, ensuring business continuity through the timely procurement of direct and strategic materials. Your contribution will be essential in optimizing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), guaranteeing material quality, mitigating risks, and driving our long‑term operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Procurement & Sourcing
* Define the global purchasing strategy for direct materials in line with company objectives.
* Identify, select and qualify suppliers, assessing their performance, quality, risk level and competitiveness.
* Negotiate prices, commercial terms, and contracts, with a specific focus on chemical raw material suppliers.
* Continuously monitor market trends using market intelligence tools.
* Manage critical materials and develop continuity plans (alternative suppliers, safety stocks).
* Plan the procurement of strategic materials (Polyester Resins, EVA, C9, Polyolefins).
* Monitor and continuously improve the Total Cost of Ownership.
🔹 Material Planning & Supply Continuity
* Collaborate with internal functions (Purchasing, Sales, Production) to develop reliable demand forecasts.
* Manage procurement priorities in case of extraordinary events or supply chain disruptions.
* Control inventory levels to prevent obsolescence, off‑spec materials, and production stoppages.
🔹 Process & Systems Management
* Set and maintain purchasing parameters in ERP/MRP systems.
* Monitor procurement KPIs and implement corrective actions and process improvements.
* Support the introduction of new materials and new suppliers in collaboration with PM and R&D.
* Serve as a key interface with the IT department for the evolution of procurement-support systems.
🔹 Internal Coordination & Compliance
* Collaborate with Sales Department, Customer Service, Planning, Production and, when necessary, with customers for agreements impacting procurement or logistics (e.g., minimum stock levels, VMI, kanban).
* Work with the Management System Manager to support monitoring and reporting related to the Management System.
Role Requirements
🔹Technical Skills
* 8–10 years of experience in Strategic Procurement or Purchasing roles within manufacturing companies, ideally in the chemical sector.
* Strong knowledge of: purchasing processes and advanced negotiation techniques, Total Cost of Ownership analysis, supplier evaluation and performance management, material planning and MRP logic.
* Ability to analyze market trends and drive purchasing strategies.
* Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and KPI analysis tools.
* Advanced Excel&Reporting Skills

* Training (Master or specialized courses) in Procurement/Supply Chain.
* Degree in Management Engineering, Economics, Industrial Chemistry, or related fields.
🔹Languages
* Excellent command of English; a second European language is preferred.
