Role
This role entails assessing internal and external scientific data to inform product development in the field of nutrition and skin care. Manage Science Communications and Claim Development across different European regions. Creation of scientific communication material for internal and external communication. KOL management and stakeholder management (marketing, regulatory, research, product and technology). Contributes to the research Innovation program.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute and leverage scientific and technical knowledge in nutrition and skin care to drive the creation of winning products for multiple markets.
* Co-build claim development strategy, KOL engagement and scientific external communication strategy.
* Inform innovation strategies in the field of nutritional supplements and skin care.
* Deploy strong project management skills to drive projects forward towards successful creation.
* Work closely with Commercial, Product Development and Regulatory Affairs colleagues and teams to bring ideas, concepts and final products and claims to market.
* Create and maintain documentation to support product efficacy, dosage and safety rationales and product claims development using the latest up-to-date scientific and technical information.
* Support product positioning and competitiveness, technical product feasibility and regulatory compliance.
* Contribute to create product formulation, review formulation information and product specifications for scientific credibility and ability to support claims.
* Assess raw material specifications for suitability of use and ability to support claims.
* Support product development projects, including recommendations with consideration of scientific substantiation and claims.
Desired Skills and Experience
* PhD in nutrition, physiology, or related life sciences.
* Fluent in English and Italian; French is a plus.
* Previous experience in a science translation function (minimum 5 years).
* Hands-on approach, attention to detail and efficiency.
* Experience in development of claims and science communication strategies.
* Strong technical background in nutrition, ideally experience on skin health, beauty supplements or cosmetic science.
* Passion for innovation, proactive leadership, and cross-functional leadership skills.
* Proven track record of industry experience and business acumen.
* Comfortable navigating challenges with a solution-focused approach.
* Understanding business priorities and directing resources to priority areas.
* Proactive and takes initiative. Team player and has the ability to work effectively in a changing environment.
* Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
