A Senior Civil Engineer is required to strengthen our engineering division in Italy. The role focuses on delivering high-quality civil design for utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment committed to sustainable infrastructure. They will cover both conceptual and detailed design phases and provide technical support during the permitting phase of solar PV and BESS installations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Civil Engineering Planning: Prepare and review civil engineering plans, technical specifications, and reports for renewable energy projects.
* Design Input and Technical Support: Provide design input and technical support during the permitting phase of solar PV and BESS installations.
* Civil and Structural Engineering Review: Verify, review, and comment on civil and structural engineering deliverables related to project execution.
* Geotechnical and Hydrological Studies: Perform or review geotechnical and hydrological studies to assess site conditions.
* Foundation and Structural Design: Assist in the development of foundation and structural designs tailored to project requirements.
* Engineering Workflow Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in design documentation and engineering workflows.
* Project Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to meet project deadlines and performance expectations.
* Quality Assurance and Control: Ensure compliance with quality assurance and quality control protocols for all design outputs.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
* Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
* Experience: Minimum of 3 years in civil or structural design for infrastructure or energy-related projects.
* Technical Knowledge：
o Familiarity with Eurocodes, NTC (Norme Tecniche per le Costruzioni), and other relevant national/international design standards.
o Understanding of geotechnical, geological, and hydrological assessment methods.
o Experience in foundation and structural design for large-scale projects.
* Software Proficiency
o Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil3D, and PVCase.
o Experience with additional tools such as Bentley MicroStation, STAAD Pro, Revit, or ETABS is a plus.
* Language Skills： Native or fluent in Italian; good command of English.
