Interns work full‑time in the office Monday–Friday, up to 40 hours per week, typically between 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Interns should not have conflicts such as classes or other employment during the Amazon work‑day.
Applicants should have a minimum of one quarter/semester/trimester remaining in their studies after their internship concludes. This position opens location preferences to Greater Seattle Area, Greater Bay Area, Greater DMV, Greater Boston Area, Greater Los Angeles Area, Detroit, and San Diego. Start dates available: Winter (January/February 2026), Summer (May/June 2026), Fall (August/September 2026).
About the Role
You will be part of a project team working alongside Senior Electrical Engineers, supporting the design, debug, validation, and optimization of Amazon Leo’s satellite products. You will be involved from concept through production, gaining exposure to the complete design lifecycle, and supporting engineering builds with high‑volume manufacturing experience.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and implement quality systems for Amazon Leo’s satellite manufacturing operations.
* Work closely with internal teams and external partners to drive quality assurance, process improvements, and testing protocols.
* Develop quality control plans, MSAs, and statistical process control systems.
* Perform data analysis using Lean Six Sigma methodologies and analytical tools.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and manufacturing execution systems.
* Conduct fixture and tooling design validation and debug activities.

Basic Qualifications
* 18 years of age or older.
* Work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to a 12‑week internship.
* Enrolled in an academic program physically located in the United States.
* Knowledge of analog and digital skills.
* Knowledge of schematic design and debugging skills.
* Experience with embedded systems.
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent discipline, expected to graduate between October 2026 and December 2029.
Preferred Qualifications
* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
* Experience in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering.
* Experience with lean methodologies.

The starting pay for this position is listed below. Final starting pay will be based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
