Posizione
Italdesign is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Team Leader to become part of the Ultra Limited Series body development team, with particular focus on BIW and Exteriors trim. She/he will be responsible for coordinating, managing and ensuring target achievement in the assigned competence field.
Responsibilities
* At least up to 5 years of experience in the engineering development on the automotive field with the aim of coordinating a work team for the BIW/Exteriors Trim development on ULSP projects.
* Ensuring the integration and the required performances of the different vehicle systems, within the competence field.
* Ensuring/monitoring the robustness of the Typical sections, base for the Design convergence phase.
* Ensuring/monitoring the robustness of the Data released for tooling kick‑off and production (3D / 2D).
* Management/coordination of the work team, including cooperation with other departments, customers, engineering partners and product suppliers.
* Ensure alignment on technical specifications between teamwork, departments and customer.
* Defining/monitoring a time/budget planning and managing project workload.
* Achievement of the project's technical objectives relevant for the competence field.
* Management of "escalation" process on issues related to the competence field.
Key Requirements
* Knowledge of body and trim development for production.
* Knowledge of materials and production technology with particular attention to composites and aluminium.
* Knowledge of tooling lead time.
* Knowledge of main characteristics affecting target/performances.
* Knowledge on how to deal and interpret Design model.
* Ability to transform technical contents/targets into economic/geometric constraints into feasible process solutions.
* Ability to organize/motivate a teamwork depending on needs and contingent situations.
* Problem solving and ability to synthesize information.
* Priority management, proactivity, flexibility, resilience.
* Ability to manage component and system suppliers.
* Decision making skills combined with an assertive and persuasive leadership style.
* Ability to anticipate, manage critical situations and provide effective solutions.
Preferential Requirements
* Technical drawing and modeling (CAD processes, basic knowledge of Catia 5 and data release systems).
* Quality standards, processes, dynamics according to customer (OEM) process and requirements.
* Legislative/homologation/rating constraints.
* Knowledge of component validation methods and procedures (e.g., testing specifications).
* Ability to transfer methodology and know‑how in her/his own project team and to the rest of the department team.
Altre informazioni
Education: Technical High School degree, Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Materials engineering or equivalent.
Language skills: Fluent knowledge of written and spoken Italian and English are required. Knowledge of German would be appreciated.
