Software Development Engineer II, Cross Border Tech — Amazon Exports and Expansion. Build new tools, services, and distribution structures to enhance the international shopping experience. Work across Global Store (GS) and Core Exports (CE) to enable cross-border shopping for customers worldwide, delivering a localized experience, competitive pricing, local payment methods, and reliable delivery across 200+ destinations and 11 Exports-enabled stores.
AEE Selection Tech team seeks to disrupt how products are made available to customers, sold, and distributed on a global scale. You will build new tools and services with a focus on supporting unprecedented selection and pricing for Amazon’s customers, thriving in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with exposure to multiple e-commerce topics.

Key responsibilities
* Solve complex problems through data, rapidly.
* Design and develop state-of-the-art software systems addressing complex and ambiguous problems.
* Own inputs and business outcomes by cultivating a culture of relentless auditing and metric monitoring, automatically where possible.
* Contribute to scaling initiatives and build mission-critical system software, tools, and distribution channels across Amazon’s growing footprint.
* Collaborate with stakeholders, identify problems, propose innovative solutions, and raise standards to impact how products are bought, sold, and distributed globally.
Day in the life
As a Software Development Engineer on this team, you will own software design, documentation, development, engineering approach, delivery, and support of systems built natively in AWS. You will work with leaders, start from customer needs, identify problems, propose solutions, and influence the design, architecture, and development of consumer products on a global scale while complying with Global Trade and Product Compliance requirements.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
* 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
* Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
