Overview
Role: Oracle DBA. Location: Milan or Bari, Italy. Employment type: Permanent. Work arrangement: Hybrid. Language Proficiency: English and Italian.
Responsibilities
* Ideal candidate should have expert level knowledge of Oracle technology and be capable of handling complex issues independently and providing resolutions within agreed SLAs, while ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to policies and procedures.
* Candidate with creative thinking, willingness to bring innovations, and passion for challenging initiatives will be given preference.
* Responsible for production support to Oracle databases and serve as a Subject Matter Expert for the production support team.
* Perform Root Cause Analysis and provide permanent fixes.
* Investigate and provide solutions to database performance related issues.
* Lead the Database team in crisis calls, participate in MIR and PIR calls, and mentor team members.
* Experience and expertise in maintaining complex High Availability replication setups.
* Provide consultancy for complex setups and Disaster Recovery.
* Identify automation and self-healing opportunities and develop automation to reduce manual effort and standardize processes.
Required Skills
* Strong technical knowledge of Oracle concepts like RAC, DataGuard, GoldenGate.
* Expertise in Oracle 12c and 19c versions, and OEM.
* Build and deploy, implement solutions; perform capacity planning and DR planning.
* Troubleshooting performance issues and providing solutions.
* Expertise in role swap, failover planning and implementation.
* Strong technical knowledge of database space management.
* Implementing releases and service requests.
* Expertise in GoldenGate replication.
Additional Skills
* Knowledge on Oracle Cloud.
* Knowledge on UNIX-based OS.
* Knowledge of MongoDB, DB2 LUW technology.
* Knowledge of automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, Tanium.
* Knowledge about Agile practices and DevOps tools.
* Efficiently manage all tasks.
* Taking ownership of assigned tasks.
* Proactive approach in taking tasks.
* Clear, precise, and timely communication with customers, team members, and management.
