Continuously evaluate and improve architecture and performance to meet evolving business needs. /liliProvide technical guidance and mentorship to team members; collaborate through peer code reviews, comments, and suggestions. /liliPromote adherence to best practices, coding standards, and development methodologies. /liliDesign and develop robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions using Java and related technologies. /liliWork with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS to deploy and manage applications. /liliDeliver high-quality software solutions by promoting test-driven development (TDD) practices and automated testing strategies. /liliOptimize system performance and ensure high availability. /li /ulpbOther responsibilities : /b /pulliStay updated on emerging technologies and trends in cloud computing and Java development. /liliChampion continuous learning through hands-on experimentation and prototyping. /liliPropose and implement strategies to enhance system efficiency and development processes. /liliWork closely with project leaders to align technical solutions with business goals. /liliPartner with DevOps and QA teams to streamline deployment and testing processes. /liliEngage with technical leaders to share knowledge and foster cross-team innovation. /li /ulpbWhat you’ll need : /b /pulliBachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience, plus at least 8 years of relevant experience in Java development, including frameworks like Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Hibernate. /liliProficiency in microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). /liliStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and independent problem-solving skills. /liliSolid understanding of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS. /liliExperience with large datasets in relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Azure Cosmos DB). /liliDeep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, memory management, multi-threading, and design patterns. /liliExperience with IDEs (IntelliJ, Visual Studio), version control (GIT), CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins), and configuration management. /liliExcellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across locations. /liliExperience with agile methodologies and tools like JIRA, Confluence. /liliExperience working in Linux and Windows environments. /li /ulpbBonus points if you have : /b /pulliExperience with GIS systems or spatial databases. /liliLeadership and management experience in technical teams. /liliKnowledge of marine environment technology, navigation, or related devices. /li /ulpuWorkplace type : /u hybrid /ppbCompany : /b /ppGarmin Italy Technologies produces electronic charts for the leisure boating market.
