Overview Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare. As a partner section, MSF Italy is engaged in saving lives and alleviating suffering through fundraising; communication and advocacy, recruitment and deployment of field workers; as well as running operations in Italy and supporting international operations through expertise and other kinds of direct support.
Reporting to the Multimedia Producer, the Digital Content and multimedia officer supports the creation of engaging visual and audiovisual content that amplifies the organization’s presence across digital channels. Working within the Digital Team, the Multimedia Officer contributes to all aspects of production while providing hands‑on support to meet the multimedia needs of departments across the organization. The role also assists in managing the Multimedia Room and contributes to a Community of Practice that promotes shared learning on content production.
Responsibilities 1. Design and production of MSF Italy AV content for Digital channels
Design, production and editing of multimedia products for digital channels (WebClips, Social Media Stories, Photo Slideshows, Interviews, Infographics, Podcasts)
Producing videos and/or interviewing MSF Italy's Humanitarian Workers, Staff, Volunteers, Operations
Produces or edits animations, graphics, memes, and infographics
Support the Digital Team in generating high-performing, platform-optimized content
Adapting AV content produced by the international (CWA) for Web, Press, Engagement, Digital FR uses
Management and maintenance of the content database for MSF Italy, including its indexing system
Innovation and evolution of MSF Italy's graphic style, ensuring it remains contemporary and aligned with current design trends and msf guidelines
Organizing and/or supporting the production of Webinars and Livestreaming of events or debates, or direct from the ground
2. Technical Production Support
Set up and operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment in the Multimedia Room or on location
Assist with filming interviews, training materials, and internal content for multiple departments
Provide photo and video coverage during events, when requested
Manage file organization and post‑production editing
Maintain inventory and ensure functionality of all multimedia tools
3. Creative Collaboration & Innovation
Work with Digital team to suggest and implement creative formats and techniques to better engage digital audiences
Work with colleagues from different departments to translate their messages into strong visual stories
Contribute to brainstorming sessions with the Digital Team and other departments for projects and campaigns
Share lessons learned and creative insights through the Community of Practice
4. Multimedia Room Operations & Knowledge Sharing
Manage day‑to‑day bookings, setup, and maintenance of the Multimedia Room
Support all teams in using the space for filming, recording, or digital content creation
Provide on‑the‑job guidance and share technical tips with colleagues
Contribute to knowledge materials for the Community of Practice
Help organize internal workshops and peer sessions on content production techniques
5. Contribution to MSF's International Movement
Participates with international colleagues in the AV Intl platform
Provides support to MSF operations as it relates to digital multimedia content and tools
Contributes in the production and definition of international communication packages

Experience
At least 3 years professional experience in video shooting, graphics and editing
Professional experience in using Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator

Experience in multimedia technologies for the non‑profit sector
Experience in Storytelling
Positions details Contract: Temporary position for maternity replacement. Fixed‑term contract of 6 months. Full‑time, Level II of Italian CCNL of Commerce.
Gross Annual Salary: 33.152€ – max 40.208€ depending on the experience of the selected candidate.
Expected start date: 19/01/2026. Location: Hybrid. MSF Italy Rome office, and from home.
