In the role of Bar Supervisor at Grand Hotel Timeo, you will be a pivotal leader within our bar team, guiding operations and ensuring an unparalleled beverage experience for our esteemed guests. Specifically, you will oversee the operations of the new bar at Villa Timeo, bringing its unique concept to life. You will manage staff, maintain inventory, and uphold the highest standards of service and mixology.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate daily bar operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service, with primary responsibility for the new bar at Villa Timeo.
* Train, mentor, and motivate bar staff (including Demi Chefs de Bar and Bartenders).
* Assist in developing and innovating cocktail menus, ensuring creativity and alignment with current trends and guest preferences for the new Villa Timeo bar.
* Maintain strict control over inventory, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability.
* Ensure consistent adherence to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, as well as licensing laws.
* Handle guest inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
* Collaborate with the Chef de Bar and other F&B leaders to ensure seamless service integration across all outlets.
* Monitor sales and performance, implementing strategies to achieve revenue targets.
* Maintain an impeccably presented bar area, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and a sophisticated ambiance.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Bar Supervisor or senior Bartender role, preferably within a luxury hotel, high‑end restaurant, or exclusive bar.
* Extensive knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, premium spirits, wines, and beers, with a refined palate.
* Exceptional mixology skills and a strong ability to innovate and develop new beverage concepts.
* Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on staff development and motivation.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills, with a guest‑centric approach.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
* Strong understanding of inventory management, cost control, and POS systems.
* Fluency in Italian and English (both written and spoken); additional languages are a significant advantage.
* Impeccable personal presentation, professional demeanor, and natural ability to connect with guests and team members.
* Relevant certifications in bartending, hospitality management, or spirits knowledge (e.g., WSET) are highly desirable.
