We are currently seeking Base Maintenance Group Supervisors (BMG) for our Maintenance department.
Job Category: The Base Maintenance Group role is a Technical Leader position.
Location: Several facilities in USA and Canada. Selected candidates will undergo a 1-year training in Italy (TenarisDalmine) and then be relocated to the US or Canada.
Education/Experience/Skills:
* Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree is preferred, with previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
* English proficiency: Intermediate level (at least B2 in GSE).
* Experience in Maintenance is advantageous.
* Ability to work flexible hours as required.
* Safety and quality-oriented with strong follow-up and analytical skills.
* Interpersonal skills to collaborate with hourly employees and management.
Purpose:
Develops and supervises the execution of the Preventive Maintenance plan, ensuring systematic failure analysis, problem-solving, and performance improvement. Supports engineering in equipment research and startup of new machinery.
Responsibilities:
* Enhance equipment reliability and maintainability by defining maintenance strategies, supervising preventive maintenance, analyzing failures, and implementing improvements. Provide technical support during emergencies.
* Perform and oversee inspections.
* Ensure technical resource availability and maintain minimum stock levels.
* Assist engineering with equipment selection and startup of new machinery.
* Manage maintenance budget within set limits.
* Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are followed. Report incidents, perform inspections, and participate in investigations.
* Support maintenance information systems and utilize data for decision-making.
* Participate in energy-efficient maintenance programs.
* Analyze complex issues and recommend solutions.
* Communicate proactively with internal and external contacts.
* Adhere to company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
* Motivate, coach, and develop staff, managing HR activities accordingly. Protect facilities and equipment from damage or theft.
