In the role of Assistant Reception Manager at Grand Hotel Timeo, a Belmond Hotel, you will be a key leader within our Front Office department. You will support the Reception Manager in guiding the team, ensuring seamless daily operations, and upholding the highest standards of guest service from arrival to departure. Primary Responsibilities
* Supervise the daily operations of the Front Desk, including check‑in, check‑out, and guest services.
* Train, mentor, and motivate the Front Desk Agents and operational team.
* Assist with staff scheduling and performance management.
* Handle escalated guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints with professionalism and empathy.
* Oversee VIP guest arrivals, ensuring all special requests are met.
* Act as Manager on Duty for the hotel as required.
* Collaborate with other departments (Housekeeping, F&B, Concierge) to ensure a cohesive guest experience.
Requirements
* Significant experience in a Front Office supervisory or junior management role within a 5‑star luxury hotel.
* Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
* In‑depth knowledge of hotel Property Management Systems (PMS).
* Exceptional problem‑solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Fluent in Italian and English (both written and spoken); additional languages are a strong advantage.
* Impeccable personal presentation and a passion for delivering outstanding service.
