We're looking for a Patent Specialist to join our Coffee Machines & Systems Development division within our R&D Department.
The Patent Specialist is responsible for supporting the protection and valorization of the organization’s intellectual property related to coffee machines and systems, contributing to the effective execution of the IP strategy through technical patent activities, patent analyses, and close collaboration with R&D, the Patent Manager, and IP Legal teams.
Responsibilities
- Supports the Legal department and Patent Manager in the development and implementation of Intellectual Property (IP) strategies aligned with the organization’s business goals
- Collaborates with IP Legal teams to support the organization's IP legal affairs, including patent litigations, oppositions, and appeals, providing technical advice and evidence
- Monitors the patent landscape and technological developments in the field of coffee machines and systems, tracking industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities
- Supports the preparation and filing of patent applications, working closely with inventors to collect, structure, and clarify technical information, and contributing to the robustness and completeness of patent documentation
- Ability to analyze complex technical and legal information, identify relevant patterns and implications, and structure clear, well-founded conclusions to support IP-related decisions
- Capability to interact effectively with R&D, Legal, and external stakeholders, translating technical concepts into clear and accessible language
- 2–4 years of professional experience, preferably in roles involving close interaction with R&D teams on technical matters, or in legal/IP positions with direct exposure to research and development activities
- You hold a Degree in a technical or scientific field (e.g., Chemistry, Food science, Management Engineering or related disciplines)
