Job Description
The jobholder is responsible for the technical review of BRCGS audit reports. Specifically:
* To ensure that Technical Reviews and Certification Decisions are conducted in accordance with SGS procedures and BRCGS requirements, ensuring timely certification for customers.
To acquire and maintain knowledge of SGS procedures and external approval criteria to facilitate efficient BRCGS contract approvals for affiliates.
The role reports to the Global Product Manager for BRCGS (Brand Reputation through Compliance Global Standard).
Main Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Global BRCGS Product Manager to prioritize Technical Reviews to meet KPIs.
* Conduct technical reviews and certification decisions following SGS procedures and interpretations to ensure timely certificate issuance and report quality.
* Maintain the accuracy of the scheme owner database to meet KPI standards.
* Assist in proposals and business development, providing technical support to expand the company's services.
* Provide technical support and advice to SGS affiliates and customers as needed.
* Deliver internal training to the global network to support the certification process.
* Perform additional technical tasks related to BRCGS as assigned by line managers to achieve team goals.
Qualifications
* At least 3 years of full-time experience in the Food industry or retail sector.
* Experience as a lead auditor or technical reviewer in global Food Safety schemes (e.g., BRCGS, FSSC, IFS) across various product categories.
* First degree or equivalent in a Food-related or Bioscience discipline.
* Recognized HACCP qualification of at least 2 days with examination.
* Broad knowledge of Food safety principles, management systems, manufacturing processes, and key challenges across categories.
* Detailed knowledge of BRCGS standards.
* Effective time management and attention to detail.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction at all levels.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Fluent in English.
